We are pleased and excited to welcome Mango Bikes as a supporter for PHCX. Mango is a brand that is growing in popularity and specialises in offering some great bikes at an accessible price point (the ‘Original Single Speed’ starts at £299), that certainly tick the ‘Urban Chique’ box. Component spec on Mango Bikes is as eye catching as the vast array of colourways available in the custom options available.
Mango Bikes was started in 2012 and started out offering fully customisable single speed bikes, (more about the Mango Bikes story can be on their website). Up until recently the firm has been based in Cirencester , Mango Bikes has now relocated operations and warehousing to Sheffield. This is a fantastic addition to ‘The Outdoor City’s’ outdoor industries. Mango Bikes explain more about why they chose to call Sheffield home.
‘We have loved our time in Cirencester but all good things come to an end and we are so excited to continue our Journey at our new home in the Steel City.
We wanted to relocate to a friendly, vibrant city and Sheffield was the answer. It has an alternative and independent vibe that fits with the Mango bikes ethos and it is home to a wealth of graduates and young talent. The city has a special kind of energy and we can’t wait to get involved.
Our head office has already moved and it’s in a really cool spot. We are right next to one of the oldest cutlery works in Sheffield which is now a practice space that has been home to all kinds of musicians from Def Leppard to the Arctic Monkeys and is now the permanent home of Reverend and the makers. We also have a bike shop and a café downstairs so it’s perfect for us!
Our next challenge is moving the warehouse. This is going to be a big task but we have a great team with a solid plan and we are confident this won’t affect our customers.
We can’t wait to get everything moved up here and running like clockwork. We are going to be at Parkhill Flats for the Sheffield Urban CX series on the 16th September and Sheffield Uni Freshers fair on the 28th September. Come and say hi!’
More information on the mango range and pricing can be found on the Mango Bikes website.
